Min Hee-jin Releases Statement Following NewJeans’ Decision to Return to ADOR

Min Hee-jin, a prominent figure in K-pop and the creative mind behind some of the most innovative concepts in the industry, is best known as the founder and former CEO of ADOR, the label that launched NewJeans. Before establishing ADOR under HYBE, Min had already built a strong reputation for her visionary art direction during her years at SM Entertainment. Her distinct creative touch played a major role in shaping NewJeans’ refreshing and trendsetting image, making them one of the most talked-about girl groups in recent years.

However, in 2024, tensions between Min Hee-jin and HYBE made headlines as internal disputes escalated, eventually leading to her suspension from ADOR. The conflict drew massive attention from fans and the public, as it placed NewJeans in an uncertain position between loyalty to their original producer and their parent company. "Hello, this is Min Hee-jin.

I’ve received many questions recently, so I want to share my thoughts directly. I believe the members made their decision to reunite after deep consideration and sincere discussions. I respect and fully support their choice.

Even though they went through hardships, I truly admire their courage to come together again and protect each other. I can start a new life anywhere, but I believe that no matter what happens, NewJeans must always stay together as five members.

I hope the members continue to grow stronger and that NewJeans becomes an even better group. Most importantly, I want all five of them to be happy.

Above all, I want to thank the fans who have supported NewJeans even during difficult times. Please continue to give them your warm encouragement as they overcome these challenges and return as a group.

I will keep watching NewJeans’ music and progress closely, and I will continue to support them until the very end.

This has been a long and difficult period for all of us, especially with several legal cases happening at the same time. The lawsuit between HYBE and me is entirely separate and has nothing to do with NewJeans. As an individual, I am doing my best and believe that the truth will eventually come to light.
